Young British Synchro stars hold their own at Worlds

Britain's synchronised swimming stars have made finals at every event they competed in at the FINA World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships in Budapest.

During a competition dominated by the Russians, who won every event, the British squad put in strong performances across all disciplines.

They qualified for every final they competed in, and made the top 10 in five of their seven events. 

In the Women's Team Technical event the British Team finished in 12th position on 78.0997. The squad of  Cerys Larsen, Harriette Smith, Abigail Taylor, Millicent Costello, Daisy Rushton, Torrie Usher, Greta Hampson and Daniella Lloyd were able to use this as their final preparation for the European Senior competition at Glasgow 2018 starting next month.

In the Women Team Free event the Brits finished 12th again, this time with a score of 79.7000 - in the same ranking they had qualified for the final. 

In the Team Combination event Great Britain progressed from the preliminaries in ninth place, finishing in the same place in the final with 80.3333.

Women Solo Free - 9th place (83.8333)

Women Solo Technical - 9th place (83.1096)

Women Duet Technical - 10th place (81.6957)

Women Duet Free - 10th place (82.9000)

Women Team Technical - 12th place (78.0997)

Women Team Free Combination - 9th place (80.3333)
