Matthew Dixon claimed gold to close the British campaign at the European Junior Diving Championships in Croatia.
Plymouth-based Dixon rounded off a successful week in Rijeka for the junior British diving team, after he claimed gold in the Boys A Platform final.
A final score of 492.25 points saw him finish in top spot to claim gold ahead of Russia’s Maksim Lebedev who completed the five round final with a points total of 486.05 and the silver medal.
Dixon’s opening, a Front 3 ½ Somersaults Piked achieved 72.00 points and was his highest scoring dive of the final, establishing a strong early ranking.
Fellow brit Noah Williams joined Dixon on the podium. Williams finished with a points total of 476.95 for the bronze medal.
