GB win Team Event in Kazan

The British Diving team made a strong start to the World Junior Diving Championships with gold in the Team Event. 

Jordan Houlden, Noah Williams, Katherine Torrance and Owen Harrison impressed from their first dive to take the team's first gold medal. 

On the first day of the seven-day competition the athletes took on some of the world's best including China and won with their strong five dives. Their final score was 335.45. 

The Brits beat Mexico with 321.75 for silver and China who took bronze in 320.95. 

Competition continues tomorrow with Boys' A 3m Springboard and Girls' B 1m Springboard.
