Rollinson springs to gold in Diving International finale

1 Feb 2026

Amy Rollinson brought the curtain down on the Aquatics GB Diving International 2026 with an eye-catching list in the Women’s 3m Springboard, while Euan McCabe and Ben Cutmore took to the top step of the podium in the Men’s Platform Synchro.

A classy performance from Amy Rollinson saw her take the Women’s 3m Springboard title in the closing action on display at Ponds Forge.

The 2025 British champion had qualified second out of the prelims and lifted the level across her list in the final to reach a title-winning score of 327.80. That total was greatly helped by Rollinson’s fourth round Forward 3½ Somersaults Pike (107B) recording the best individual dive score of the contest.

Yasmin Harper meanwhile put in a composed performance to open her account for 2026 with a bronze medal in her home pool – the British pair split only by Canada’s Margo Erlam on the scoreboard.

“I feel good – the main thing I focused on was trying to stay constant throughout,” said Rollinson.

“I’ve changed certain things with my technique, so I’ve been getting to grips with it recently and found things just clicked today. That’s my first individual dive score over 70!”

With a strong crowd in to watch the finals, Rollinson added her appreciation:

“Having a big crowd is always great, it just generally uplifts everyone when people are here to watch you and cheer you on.”

Sunday’s finals action opened with the Men’s Platform Synchro where Euan McCabe and Ben Cutmore teamed up after their one-two in the previous day’s individual contest.

Having set their stall out with two solid required dives, McCabe and Cutmore hit a nice consistent rhythm in a competition that moved at pace – putting back-to-back 75-plus point dives in the fourth and fifth rounds to set them on a trajectory to the title ahead of the visiting Ukrainian pair.

“I think to be honest the aim of today was to show that we can do our dives in time together,” said Cutmore.

“We’ve done synchro before, but it’s been very on and off, so it still feels new. To come and put in a performance together after doing our dives well yesterday [in the individual] was something that we’re pleased with.”

On how the pairing managed their process in a fast-moving competition, McCabe added:

“You definitely work on your adaptability to manage it. In the partnership, it’s about working together on our communication to ensure we get the best out ourselves and each other to control the controllables and prepare the best we can.

“To get a little competition run through [at the start of this season] has been fun, and I’m excited for what happens next with this pairing.”

Elsewhere in the Men’s synchro contest, Robbie Wood and Jorden Fisher Eames delivered a delightful Inward 3 ½ Somersaults Tuck (407C) in the sixth round for 66.24 points as they capped an encouraging performance together to place third in the standings – only missing out on a medal due to the one-per-nation podium eligibility set out within the meet conditions for synchro competition.

The inaugural edition of the championships has welcomed over 1000 spectators through the doors of Ponds Forge across the three days of competition, with 65 athletes from nine nations challenging for individual and synchro titles from the diving boards.
