Day two at the Gyor 2017 EYOF

It was another busy night of finals action in the Aqua Sports Center for Team GB as the swimmers featured in five finals on the second day of Gyor 2017.

Charlie Hutchison, Kyle Booth and Pia Murray were in action in their finals after successful semi-finals yesterday. Hutchsion placed seventh in the 100m backstroke, Booth seventh in 100m breaststroke and Murray seventh 100m backstroke final. Bromsgrove youngster Sam Osbourne came eighth in 400m freestyle, a tough showing but one he was pleased with all the same following  personal best in the morning’s preliminaries.

“I was really happy to make the final after a decent PB this morning,” said Osborne. “I tried going out harder in the final but it hit me in the back end.

“The swimming is really good here compared to back in the UK so just making the final is an achievement. I’m really enjoying experience here, it’s new and the teams are mixing which is great for team spirit.”
