Double medal success for Euro relay swimmers

Tom Dean became Britain's third gold medalist at the European Junior Games - quickly following that up with a relay bronze.

Lily Boseley, Tatiana Belonogoff, Emily Large and Freya Anderson - two of whom already have golds from this Championship - comfortably won the 4 x 100m relay in a competition record time.

Dean became European Champion in the 200IM - in a Competition Record time of 1:59.17 and taking almost half a second off his personal best. Then he was the third leg of the 4 x 200m freestyle relay, picking up a bronze alongside Harry Constantine, Jakob Goodman and Luke Turley.  Israel took the Gold with Russia in silver.

In the 200m breaststroke Jacob Peters narrowly missed out on a medal, coming in fourth place.

Emily Large managed a season's best performance in the 100m butterfly semi final comfortably beating all the competition to qualify for her final. Team mate Keanna Macinnes finished third in her semi to also progress to the final.

Archie Goodburn won his 50m breaststroke semi, coming in fifth place in the final. Earlier in the session fellow Brit Gregory Butler came fifth in the semi-final so missed out on a final race spot. In the women's race Lauren Cox also secured a final place, with Lily Bosley narrowly missing out on the chance to progress finishing her semi in fifth position. Lily Booker then came eighth in the 200m breaststroke final

In the 200m freestyle Rachel Anderson and Laura McNab competed in semi-final one and came in seventh and eighth respectively. Leah Crisp came 12th in the 1,500m.

After Day 3 of the event in Helsinki Britain sit third on the medal table with eight medals, including four gold.
