21 Aug 2014

Jess Fullalove claimed her third medal of the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games by winning silver in the 50m Backstroke.

The 18-year old touched in a personal best 28.66 to add 50m Backstroke silver to the 100m Backstroke and 4x100m Medley Relay silver medals she won earlier in the week.

Fullalove said: "It was my last swim of the meet so I am really happy to end on a high with a silver medal and a personal best - I can't ask for any more than that.

"It’s a bit frustrating not to be able to get that gold medal but I am happy with three silvers for the meet as it has been a really long season.

"I'm looking forward to enjoying the village and getting stuck into the culture and education programme now that I have finished."

Charlotte Atkinson successfully negotiated her 100m Butterfly semi-final. She finished third which placed her sixth fastest for the final tomorrow night.

Meanwhile in the men's 100m Freestyle semi-finals Duncan Scott made it through to the final tomorrow night after finishing third in his heat, while teammate Miles Munro just missed out.
