Adam Peaty has been given the Pat Besford award for Outstanding performance at the Sports Journalists Association Awards.
Peaty has had a breakthrough season this year with two golds and a silver at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow
He backed up this oustanding performance with four golds and a world record in the 50m Breaststroke at the European Championships in Berlin.
He has recently come home from the World Championships in Doha with three silver medals to begin his 2015 season with success.
Peaty also features in the top ten for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year with voting open on Sunday 14th December.
