Show your support for Adam Peaty at BBC SPOTY

16 Dec 2015

Triple world champion Adam Peaty needs your support in recognising his historic achievements as the countdown continues to this weekend’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

The breaststroke swimmer, who was also included in the 2014 shortlist, made history this year when he became the first man to complete the 50m and 100m double at the World Swimming Championships and then helped the British mixed medley relay team win gold.

Adam, who trains at City of Derby under Mel Marshall, also became the holder of three world records in 2015 - the 50m Breaststroke, 100m Breaststroke and 4x100m mixed medley relay.

The 12 contenders for this year's award were announced on the BBC’s One Show with the winner set to be revealed during the live Sports Personality show in Belfast on Sunday 20 December.

People can show their support for Adam by voting on the night via the phone or online during the programme which will be screened on BBC One, with further coverage on BBC Radio 5 live and the BBC Sport website.
