Lizzie Simmonds continued her build-up to the British Gas Swimming Championships 2014 with a pair of golds at the Arena Grand Prix in Orlando, USA.

The 23-year old scored victories in the 100m (1:01.26) and 200m Backstroke (2:10.44), the latter in the fastest time by a British swimmer so far this season.

Simmonds also clocked 2:01.94 to finish sixth in the final of the 200m Freestyle.

The Commonwealth silver medallist will be competing in all three events at April’s British Champs in Glasgow as she looks to secure a place on the England team for her second Commonwealth Games.

British record holder Adam Brown was also in action in Orlando, claiming a medal in the 100m Freestyle.

The 25-year old touched in 50.33 after a 50.13 prelim to finish joint third in the 100m Free, having narrowly missed the podium with fourth place finishes in the 50m Free (22.74) and 100m Fly (55.16).
