It’s been another successful day at the Luxembourg Euro Swim Meet with British Swimmers picking up another 10 medals.
There was a gold and silver in the early session with a one-two in the 4 x 100m Medley with Chris Walker-Hebborn, Charlotte Atkinson, Adam Peaty and Aimee Wilmott clinching first place and a meet record on 3.52.54 ahead of team mates Kathleen Dawson, James Guy, Sarah Vasey and Duncan Scott.
Adam Peaty then won his third gold of the event in the 100m Breaststroke with Ross Murdoch earning a silver and David Murphy coming in 11th.
It was a third British one-two of the day when Aimee Willmott beat Hannah Miley into silver medal position in the 200m Medley. Duncan Scott then won a silver in the 200m Medley.
James Guy picked up his second gold of the meet, winning the 100m Butterfly, Hannah Miley won a silver in the 400m Freestyle ,Chris Walker-Hebborn secured a bronze in the 50m Backstroke
This is in addition to the two medals won on day one and 10 yesterday.
In other races today Charlotte Atkinson came fourth in a close 100m Butterfly as
did Jocelyn Ulyett in the 100m Breaststroke, Kathleen Dawson secured an eighth place finish in the 50m
Backstroke; Stephen Milne finished sixth in the 400m Freestyle. Kathleen Dawson
finished ninth in the 200m Backstroke and Aimee Willmott finished 19th in the 100m Freestyle. In the final race of the first European long-course meet for our swimmers in 2018 Duncan Scott finished fourth in the 100m freestyle with team mates Ben Proud in 11th and Stephen Milne in 14th.
