British Swimming offers its deepest condolences to our friends at USA Swimming after the sad loss of Executive Director Chuck Wielgus.
Chief Executive David Sparkes said: “Chuck will be missed by all his friends in swimming, he provided great leadership to USA Swimming and introduced some innovative ideas such as Duel in the Pool.
“He was a great friend to British Swimming and we worked well together, and his wise counsel and leadership will be missed.
“At this sad time our thoughts now turn to his wife Nancy and his family. Chuck will, I am sure, live on in our memory and in his legacy which is huge for our sport.”
