Tickets for the British Gas International Swimming Meet 2014 have gone on sale.
The five day event takes place from 24 -28 June and will see almost 500 athletes compete, including many who have qualified for this summer’s Commonwealth Games.
In a change to last year’s programme, finals will be held during the morning session with heats the previous evening. There will also be international team relays to help home nations prepare for the summer and club relay competitions.
Olympic silver medallist Michael Jamieson, world and Commonwealth medallist Fran Halsall and Paralympic champions Jessica-Jane Applegate and Jon Fox are amongst the entries.
Jamieson said: “I’m really looking forward to competing in Manchester at the International Swimming Meet and defending my two breaststroke titles. It’s a good opportunity to compete against some of my international rivals and see where I am a few months out from the Commonwealth Games.
“Morning finals will definitely be different but I think it will be a good challenge and hopefully encourage everyone to raise their game in the morning as well as the evening sessions.”
The British Gas International Swimming Meet takes place at Manchester Aquatics Centre. Tickets for all sessions are available via Ticketmaster and start from £4.50 for children and £6.50 for adults.
