Debutants and Experience Added to Para-Swimming Summer Squads

15 May 2026

Two debutants and more experience added to Great Britain para-swimming Team for 2026 summer meets.

Aquatics GB is delighted to confirm an additional three members of our para-swimming team for the 2026 Dutch National Championships, in accordance with the published selection policy (clause 5.4).

The selection panel met as published on 10th May and have selected the following three athletes to the team:

Louise Fiddes (S14, Hatfield)

Aaliyah Richards (S14, Crawley)

Tara Beard (S14, Maxwell)

Both Beard and Richards will be making their debuts on senior teams at a major meet, while Louise Fiddes adds a wealth of Paralympic and international experience to the group.

The selections build on the success of the team across the Para Swimming World Series events in Paris and Berlin, which saw Great Britain top the medal table with golds for both Beard and Richards.

Adam Clarke, Para Programme Lead said: “I am delighted to welcome three more athletes to what is a strong British team, comprising a blend of youth and experience.

“Aaliyah and Tara are both selected for their first Para Swimming senior team, and their addition takes the total number of debutant athletes to four.

“Both athletes produced some world class performances in Berlin last week, and I am very much looking forward to seeing them continue their development in Eindhoven at the Dutch National Championships in seven weeks’ time.”

The additions takes the squad to 26 athletes ahead of a busy summer which also includes the Commonwealth Games and AGB Next Gen Championships in July and the European Para Swimming Championships in September.
